Fernando Torres is a great buy for Liverpool

How bout that....when was the last time we saw a Reds striker get CONSECUTIVE HAT-TRICKS at Anfield! :) Great stuff once again, clinical finishing and a superb sense of positioning. Maybe we're going to see the Golden Boot from Pool this year?.....Well, it's great to finally see a Liverpool striker scoring goals consistently.....One thing though, there ought to be one more covering striker who can put in a fair share of goals, that might just be the extra difference needed.

Great stuff. 3 more points....good to see that we got a win even tho it wasn't goals galore....cracking goal by Benayoun tho....showed great composure to turn the defender instead of blasting it.

They say that the proof is in the pudding.....i say the proof is in STICKING THE BALL IN THE BACK OF THE NET 3 TIMES IN A MATCH!!! Come on, let's put Torres in the first 11 and see if he goes on a streak....can't see how a red-hot striker can maintain his form and confidence sitting on the bench and coming on for the last 15-30 minutes......

Another draw over the weekend against Birmingham at home, Pool still has a problem scoring goals. While it's not so much a matter of having the right players, I feel it's having the right players with the right mentality that is important. The urgency and hunger to win (all the time!) could be stepped up a notch. I still feel that Torres and Co. has bags of goals in them, maybe the floodgates just needs to be opened!

Well well well.......guess what.....the legendary METATARSAL injury has struck Alonso and Agger now!!! Out for six weeks??!!! Looks like the depth of the squad is really gonna be tested.....esp for the defence.......we need a faster centre-back........hmmm....someone like Nesta will be good. :)

Heskey and Owen!!!

Ok, personally at this moment, I think Heskey and Owen is the best possible strike force for England. Must be the understanding built during their Liverpool days.......Owen's really clinical, especially for one who has been out for so long...think that's what makes a great striker, someone who can consistently put away the point-blank chances......
